My every day hero is my daughter Amanda she’s an army wife with a special needs child and chronic illness of her own but she still finds time for working for Operation Homefront and an organization called YAi Pak of which she is a Core Team member she’s always busy oh and she PTO president at her daughters middle school on base

My husband is my everyday hero. He gets up at 4:00 am to go to work. He drives a school bus and works all day as a mechanic’s helper. He works on chainsaws, trimmers, and blowers when he gets home. He also helps me with the housework. I am so thankful for him!

Well you could say I raised my hero…My 18 yr old son is a full time firefighter at one fire station and he volunteers at our local fire station. He started out being a jr. firefighter in 9th grade and realized that was his passion so they sent him to every training and class all through high school so as soon as he turned 18 he could be hired. It amazes me to see him help others the way that he does and I’m so proud of him.

Mine is my mom shes 89 and blind in one eye and barely sees in the other one. She has tunnel vision too. But still reads and crochets. She helps other people in her apartment complex.

My everyday hero is my grandmother, who unfortunately is no longer alive. She had 9 children (3 sets of twins!) and when her children were ages 2-14, she found her husband deceased. She was a single mother of 9, running the family farm and working multiple jobs, long before most women considered being single moms. Her strength, patience, and faith was awe-inspiring.

My spouse! This past August he had sudden open heart surgery for a rare tumor within the atrium which is usually not discovered until autopsy. Since then he’s made life style changes even though this had nothing to do with a tumor forming. He works out daily, eats healthier, agave up alcohol, and stopped working 12-15 hour days. So amazed by him!

My everyday hero is my father, who passed away 11 years ago. I have been increasingly appreciating all he did, and put up with, over the years. He was the person most loyal to me, even more so than my mother. When he was dying, my mother said to me, “You’re losing your best friend”. I accepted what she said at that time, and knew that she was “probably correct”. Only now do I know without a doubt that he really was my best friend.
