Three best-friends loving, working and taking on New York City. That’s the set-up for USA TODAY bestselling, author, Sarah Morgan’s first sizzling novel in her latest series, “Manhattan Love Trilogy’s,” SLEEPLESS IN MANHATTAN (HQN).

Best-friends Paige, Frankie and Eva are hired and quickly fired as event planners. They decide to create their own company, “Urban Genie,” but the cheerleaders behind the scenes are a bit controversial for at least one of the ladies. Self-made multi-millionaire, Jake Romano has known Paige since she was a sick child and has rejected her advances since then, even though secretly wanting her. Eva’s brother owns the building they all live rent-free, so that’s covered. A bit complicated, but it’ll make sense.

I love the chemistry between the girls and the Manhattan landscape. I went to college in New York City and SLEEPLESS IN MANHATTAN brought back many memories of running around with my girls. There was always something to do, even when you were so busy doing something. And of course, this is chick-lit, so I loved the romance, but I’m not going to give that away.

I’ve never read a Sarah Morgan novel before, but SLEEPLESS IN MANHATTAN is a fun, frothy, romp to take to the beach or the pool. It’s not challenging, so plan on enjoying a couple of frozen margaritas while reading. I think I’m going to go check out her back-list.

The second novel in the “Manhattan Love Trilogy,”SUNSET IN CENTRAL PARK,” will be published in August. I can’t wait!
