It’s a very exciting time when Ashley Farley publishes a new novel. Now she’s out with the first book DREAM BIG, STELLA! in her new three part Hope Springs series. Get ready to meet all kinds of new people, the kind of people you want to know. Be ready to meet some down home people and enjoy real country life.

When a young woman summons the courage to take a chance on life, she discovers the career and man of her dreams.

Stella Boor’s biological father is a nameless, faceless sperm donor. At least, that’s what her parents have led her to believe. Imagine her surprise when she learns he’s none other than rock legend Billy Jameson, and that Billy has died and left Stella a historic inn on a sprawling farm in the mountains of Virginia. A city girl at heart, Stella can’t imagine living anywhere but New York. Her first inclination is to sell the property. But the terms of Billy’s will stipulate she manages the inn for three years before putting it on the market.

When she sees the dilapidated state of the inn, Stella realizes she’s in over her head. But the more she learns about the fascinating Jameson family, the more she wants to know. Why did her mother keep Billy Jameson a secret? Were her biological parents in a relationship, or was she the result of a one-night stand? And why did her father wait until after his death to bring Stella to Virginia?

I climbed upon a chair with a cuppa and enjoyed this first part of the new Hope Springs series. I got to know characters and a place I’d very much like to visit. I felt like Ashley’s message in DREAM BIG, STELLA! was to dream big, Cindy. Never let anything sideline you on your journey and be willing to take chances.

  1. I’ve read a lot of family dramas and one that comes to mind is The Floating Feldmans by Elyssa Friedland. Thanks for the chance.

  2. This is the review I did for Life On Loan!
Ashley Farley has become one of my favorite authors! She writes about women’s issues in books that keep a reader interested throughout her books. Life On Loan is a book that has a woman
wondering what would happen if they changed places with someone else for a few months. Both women have issues with their lives that make them want to run away from their own life. What happens after the exchange of homes has me intrigued from the start to the finish of Life On Loan, well worth reading!
This book was the first I read and I’m intrigued by her insightful writing, so point on for these times, and the family drama, amazing!
Of course, I would love to read and review Dream Big, Stella! Thanks for the chance!
