The Opposite of Everyone by Joshilyn Jackson & GIVEAWAY

TLC Book Tours invited a dozen or so of us Bloggers to Skype with Joshilyn Jackson about her new novel, THE OPPOSITE of EVERYONE (William Morrow) and we had a blast. It was the first time most of us had done anything like this, and in addition to asking questions regarding the book we got to know a little bit about Joshilyn, too.

First of all, Joshilyn has an incredibly distinct voice. Perhaps I honed in on that because of my broadcasting background. Her voice is kind of cute, southern, high-pitched, with a bit of a squeak, but completely pleasant! I will definitely hear her while reading her main characters from now on.

Joshilyn told us that when she sits down to write, she always writes the ending first and the very first line last. The boyfriends in her books are reflections of her ex’s. The ones she outgrew. Hum?

In THE OPPOSITE of EVERYONE, the main female character, Paula is a tough divorce lawyer and true to form based on her. She’s “loving, tough, mean, aggressive and on the side of the underdog.”

Joshilyn’s books are full of unconventional characters that spark thought-provoking chats about love and loyalty. What you’ve got here is a look at broken people who heal themselves and each other through love and forgiveness. THE OPPOSITE of EVERYONE reaffirms Joshilyn Jackson’s place as a brilliant storyteller.
